How The Be Heard Voice Method Came To Be Many years ago I damaged and subsequently lost my voice by singing without vocal instruction. I searched for a long time for vocal exercises that would repair, revive and strengthen the voice and with lots of work and patience I rebuilt my voice from scratch. My vocal demise and subsequent rehabilitation and restoration are the reason that I became a singing teacher, to help other people make sure they do not get into the same predicament. I have developed an easy to follow method of vocal development that can be used by singers and speakers alike to strengthen, project and, where necessary, bring their voices back to life. Your voice is precious and the only one you've got so it makes sense to look after it, nurture it and allow it to grow, allowing the true potential of the voice to shine through. With the Be Heard technique you can rebuild your voice if it's damaged, and you can make your voice louder and more resonant quite easily. You can also protect your voice so that when you need to speak all day or sing for long periods your throat won't feel uncomfortable. This will help you guard against daily wear and tear and allow your voice to last a lifetime. One more thing you need to know before we begin… When a baby is born it can make a very loud noise as you may well have noticed! Babies don't lose their voices very often and can wail for hours. During the baby's development he learns to speak and whilst learning to talk in a conventional manner, the growing child loses contact with some of the natural ability to project his voice also some of the freedom of voice production. This programme will reintroduce you to and give you back a sense of your natural capacity for volume and vocal freedom. You will find that your body will respond quickly to the exercises because the technique will be distantly familiar to it and will feel very natural. |
